Privacy Policy

1. Overview

WGS (“we”, “our”, “us”) operates an AI brand visibility monitoring service. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

2. Data we collect

  • Account data — name, email address, and authentication tokens when you sign up via Google OAuth or email.
  • Brand data — domain names, custom monitoring prompts, and competitor domains you configure.
  • Usage data — pages visited, features used, and interaction logs for product improvement.
  • Payment data — billing information is processed by our payment provider (Stripe) and never stored on our servers.

3. How we use your data

  • Running AI visibility checks against ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Claude on your behalf.
  • Generating monitoring prompts and detecting competitors using Claude (Anthropic API).
  • Sending alert notifications when your brand visibility changes significantly.
  • Improving the product through aggregated, anonymised analytics.

4. Third-party services

We use the following sub-processors to deliver the service:
  • Anthropic (Claude) — prompt generation and analysis.
  • Bright Data — AI search result scraping across engines.
  • Google OAuth — authentication and optional Search Console access.
  • Stripe — payment processing.
Each provider operates under their own privacy policy. We do not sell your data to any third party.

5. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Collection run results are stored for up to 24 months. You may request deletion of all your data at any time by emailing privacy@whatgptsays.com.

6. Security

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). API keys and OAuth tokens are stored encrypted. We conduct regular security reviews of our infrastructure.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data; restrict or object to processing; and data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@whatgptsays.com.

8. Cookies

We use strictly necessary session cookies for authentication, and optional analytics cookies (you may decline these). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect.
